OPERA BRASOV - INTERNATIONAL SUMMER PROGRAMME

July 1st to July 15th, 2010

The Opera Brasov from Romania created this new programme in collaboration with Théâtre Lyrichorégra 20 of Montreal in Canada within the international programme of Les Jeunes Ambassaderurs Lyriques.
The objective is to give the talented singers under 38 years old the opportunity to perform on the stage of a professional theatre surrounded by the orchestra, chore and ballet.
For a period of two weeks, the singers will be prepared to sing in first or second roles, either in the production of «Il Barbiere di Siviglia» by Rossini or «Les Contes d'Hoffmann» by Offenbach. 
At the end of the programme Opera Brasov there will be two shows on the two titles which will be performed with sets, costumes and making up to the public.
The singers will receive a DVD of their performance in the production.

ont créé ce nouveau programme en 2006, dans le cadre du Programme International  "Les Jeunes Ambassadeurs Lyriques"

OBJECTIVES / OBJECTIFS

The objectives of the program are to give young singers less than 38 years old, the opportunity to perform a role on the stage of a professional opera house in public, with chorus and orchestra surrounded by the personnel of the theatre
The program touch also the french lyric repertoire in particular

Les objectifs du programme sont de donner, à de jeunes chanteurs de moins de 38 ans, la possibilité de chanter un rôle sur la scène d'une maison d'opéra, en public avec chœur et orchestre et le personnel de l'opéra.

Le programme touche aussi particulièrement le répertoire lyrique français

For a period of two weeks, in Brasov (Romania) the singers willl be prepared to sing either in the production of  :
-  Il barbiere di Siviglia from Rossini
-  or Les Contes d'Hoffman from Offenbach
At the end of the program, Opera Brasov will present to its public the two productions 
The singers will receive a DVD of their performance 

Pendant deux semaines, à Brasov, en Roumanie, les chanteurs vont se préparer à chanter dans une de ces deux productions :

A la fin du programme, l'Opéra Brasov présentera les deux productions à son public

1 - All participants must come with the knowledge of two roles (one first and one second role, or two second roles)
Tous les participants doivent se présenter au programme avec deux rôles (un premier et un second ou deux seconds rôles)

2 - On the first day of the program, each participant will have to sing in an audition the role they apply for
Le premier jour du programme, le participant doit auditionner les deux rôles qu'il a choisis

At the end of the day, the directors of the program will distribute the roles to each participant
A la fin de la journée, les directeurs du programme distribueront les rôles.
 
3 - The participants must come to the program knowing their roles
Les participants doivent arriver au programme en connaissant leurs rôles

The two productions being presented in front of th Opera Brasov public. Depending of the performance of the participants at the general with pinao, the direction of the programme can divide a role between two participants or ask the participant to sing an extract of the role at the pre-general with orchestra only.

La production des oeuvres est présentée devant le public de l'Opéra de Brasov. Selon la performance des participants lors des générales au piano, la direction du programme se réserve le droit de diviser un rôle entre deux participants ou de faire chanter un extrait du rôle seulement lors de la pré-générale avec orchestre.

REGISTRATION / INSCRIPTION 

1- Candidates to the program must send with their application a recording of them singing one aria of the role they are interested to sing in the programme (if possible a DVD), a resume and a proof of date of birth.
Les candidats au programme doivent envoyer avec leur inscription un enregistrement d'un air du rôle qu'ils désirent chanter (si possible un DVD), une biographie et une preuve de date de naissance

2- Candidates must send with their application a registration fee of 60 euros, no refundable which will deducted from the programme tuition fee if they are accepted..
Les candidats doivent envoyer avec leur inscription la somme de 60 euros non remboursable. Cette somme sera déduite des frais d'inscription.
