Opera Brasov - Artisti - Orchestra - Orchestra Members

Founded in 1953 as the orchestra of Musical Theatre, it was recognized as a community of high society in the national and international cultural life.
Due to its diverse repertory, the orchestra has the opportunity to accompany famous international soloists: Alberto Rinaldi, Virginia Zeani, Nicolae Herlea, Eugenia Moldoveanu, Nelly Miricioiu, Leontina Vaduva, Felicia Filip, Nancy Herrera, Michael Hendrick; under the baton of the great maestroes: Jean Bobescu, Petre Sbîrcea, Corneliu Trailescu, Ilarion Ionescu Galati, Ladislau Roth, Giovanni Papini, Antonello Allemandi and others.
Alongside the other artistic departments of Brasov Opera House, the orchestra participated at many international tours and festivals, having received specialized appreciation from the critics. Here are some of the most important:

- The Opera Festival from Montecatini Terme - Italy
- Since 1995 - annual successful tours in Germany, Uk, Holland, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, Luxembourg, France, Belgium.
- "Mozarteum" Festival in Salzbourg, with the opera "The Marriage of Figaro" by W.A.Mozart under the maestro Ilarion Ionescu Galati
- concerts in "Piata Constitutiei" Bucharest, where Luciano Pavarotti performed 
- concerts and performances in many festivals in Spain (Alicante, Murcia, Benidorm, Altea etc)
- International Festival of Opera, Operetta and Ballet - Brasov (Romania)
- „Mediterraneo" Festival in Trivoli (Italy)
- summer festival in Frankfurt (Germany)
In the autumn of 2006, the orchestra participated to the festival of Santander (Spain), where was accompanied with a successful distribution: Nancy Herrera, Michael Hendrick, Jean Luc Chaignaud, Leontina Vaduva etc. under maestro Antonello Allemandi, first conductor of Vienna Opera House.
